Medi-Cal

Medi-Cal provides medical benefits and health care coverage for qualifying persons who live in California and who have income and resources below established limits.   

Who can get Medi-Cal? 

  • Persons 65 or older

  • Persons who are under 21 years of age

  • Certain adults between 21 and 65 years of age, if they have minor Children living with them

  • Persons who are blind or disabled

  • Pregnant women

  • Persons receiving nursing home care

  • Certain refugees and asylees

 

For more information on how to apply for Medi-Cal, contact the Department of Social Services to request an application packet.  If you want assistance completing the application or to ask questions, please call DSS for instructions so that your application process will not be delayed.
