County Partnerships

The Department participates in collaborative, interagency projects and services including

  • Children’s System of Care/Wraparound Services. The Department has joined with the Mental Health Department, Plumas County schools, the Plumas County Probation Department and other public and private agencies to provide services to the County’s most troubled children.   • Public Health Nursing. The Department has partnered with the Public Health Agency to provide public health nursing services in our Children’s and Adult Protective Services programs. Visit their website: http://www.countyofplumas.com/publichealth/index.htm

  • Domestic Violence. The Department provides financial support for domestic violence services that are delivered by the Probation Department to CalWORKs recipients. Visit their website: http://www.countyofplumas.com/probation/ 

  • Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol Services. The Department provides funds and partners with Mental Health for mental health and substance abuse services delivered to CalWORKs recipients and provided at the One-Stop Employment Center.

  • Independent Living Services and Emancipated Youth Stipends. The Department has partnered with Plumas Crisis Intervention and Resource Center to deliver services to youth who are transitioning out of the Foster Care System.

  • Child Care. In addition to providing funding support for child care for low-income, working families, the Department has partnered with Plumas Rural Services to develop new child care resources for families.

  • One-Stop Employment and Training Work Connection. The Department provides staff and other resources to the One-Stop Employment and Training Work Connection. Visit their website: http://www.aworkforce.org

  • Alzheimer’s/Dementia. The Department participates with the Mental Health Department to assist in case managing elderly Alzheimer’s and Dementia victims. Visit their website: http://www.countyofplumas.com/mentalhealth/

  • Community Service Work. The Department partners with the Alliance for Workforce Development to provide community service work opportunities for public assistance recipients. Visit their website: http://www.aworkforce.org

  • Adult Protective Services Joint Investigations. The Department funds support services from the Plumas County District Attorney to conduct investigations abuse of elderly and disabled Plumas County citizens. Contact DSS at 530-283-6350.
