Project
Description:
Improve the infrastructure of the Resource Conservation District
expanding its abilities to work with landowners and improve water
quality. Assist and educate ranchers and forested landowners on
installing and monitoring practices. |
|
Project
Goals/Objectives:
To increase
awareness of the need for resource conservation through educating
landowners about the role they have in improving the sustainability
of our watersheds and other natural resources. Host a public
workshop for ranchers and landowners in February. The workshop will
inform landowners on which programs are available to them and how
the FRRCD can assist them in implementing projects.
To monitor the effectiveness of projects that have been implemented
and determine if any significant differences have occurred in the
treatment areas. Conduct before and after documentation on projects
initiated by the Feather River Resource Conservation District.
Results will be published to serve as additional educational
outreach. |
