Environmental Health's approach is primarily one of prevention.  This is far preferable to action taken after a foodborne illness outbreak or other adverse incident has occurred.  Therefore, emphasis is placed on education and illness prevention during routine inspections to identify and correct deficiencies that could result in harm to the consumer
