The second floor of the mezzanine gallery received a coating of white paint. With the help of several community volunteers we have created a brighter and more appealing home for local artwork.

As visitors approach the top stair, they are greeted by the museum benefactress and a visual tale of her extraordinary life. On display are some of Stella Fay's belongings, including original musical compositions and dancing slippers.

For the months of September and October we will be hosting "Catching My Eye," the photography of Betty Bishop of Chester.

The year 2010 marks the 100th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America and the Plumas County Museum is proud to present a comprehensive exhibit on the Boy Scouts orgranization as it relates to Plumas County and surrounding region. Scores of items donated and loaned by local residents have been assembled to give a great overall picture of scouting life!
