Xtremely Amped
Xtremely Amped is the ultimate combination of
high voltage rock and high flying stunts. Down-time is
non-existent, because the live bands are constantly pumping rock
favorites that immediately crescendo into another crowd-pleasing,
extreme-sport spectacular.
When someone takes the adrenaline rush provided
by pro-level freestyle motocross riders and morph it with powerhouse,
pro-level rockers the result is that the whole audience is bound to get
Xtremely Amped.
XA is able to customize shows to fit virtually
any arena or showcase area and provides an attraction which meets a huge
demographic. The 75-90 minute show will provide the perfect escape
for families attending fairs and festivals, yet still leave time to
enjoy the other festivities on the grounds.
XA is set to perform Friday night in the
grandstands arena area. |

3rd Annual Enduro Races
7:00 PM
Saturday, August 11, 2007
Admission: $5.00 - Children 5 & under - Free
The greatest destruction derby water fight on wheels
Enduro Race
Rules Saturday
night Enduro races are back once again at the Plumas-Sierra County Fair,
beginning at 7 p.m. They are proving to be one of the fair's most
popular and certainly wettest events.
Racers
fire up their favorite vehicles - some have a special theme - fill up
their water balloons and head out to the American Valley Speedway for
some fun-time driving.
As the
vehicles make their way around the track, the drivers are not only out
to get each other, but the passengers are also out to soak some fans in
the grandstands. But that's part of the fun - getting wet while
chucking a few water balloons or aiming a stream of water from a water
gun at a passing car.
Water
balloons and getting wet are part of the anticipated fun of the wild
Enduro races Saturday night in the grandstands. Participants are
invited to bring filled water balloons and squirt guns to zap racers on
the track, while the drivers aim toward the fans in the stands.
It's part of the fun and excitement of the two hours (plus or minus) or
more of action packed adventure. Safe play is encouraged.
Fans are advised to use water only. No other liquid may be
substituted, no hard objects thrown in any direction.

KARRY A TUNE
KARAOKE & DJ
Hi my name is Patty Miller; I have
been singing most of my life and in front of people for the past 10
years. I have sung at Weddings and events of all kinds I even have had
to do it A cappella. I love to sing so much I was going to Karaoke
wherever I could find it. I went to Karaoke so often and loved it so
much I would travel many miles to do it whereever it was, including out
of state or even go sick, I just had to sing. When everybody kept
telling me how good I was, I finally decided to start my own Karaoke
business and called it Karry A Tune Karaoke & DJ. I had no
training in small business, but my husband did, so we made it work. I
did the leg work and he did the paper work. I have been in the karaoke
business now for over 5 years and it has been a very successful business
and I do mean business. Almost half of what I make goes to taxes (I’m
not complaining) and people don’t realize that when I quote them a price
I only take home a little over half and most of that goes back into the
business buying equipment, CDs, paying for gas and many other expenses
that people don’t realize I have. You really have to be good to make a
legal small business survive. It was not easy starting from scratch, all
my music is on CD's and all my books (selections of songs) were made
from scratch at home. I have over 5,000 karaoke songs. I try to have
songs for all ages. People love to sing and I love to watch people have
fun. Getting paid for what you love to do is what it's all about. The
Costa Ricans have a saying for it "puda vida", meaning pure life. My
father made a living in the music business and I wish I could make a
living at it too, but for now I also have to put in five 8's a week on
my day job.
So if you want to come and sing
your heart out, I will see you at the fair. Everybody needs at least
fifteen minutes of fame. It’s also a good stress reliever. See you
there! Patty
