Program Description:

It is the goal of the Plumas County government to ensure accessibility to all county programs and facilities for the citizens of Plumas County, including meeting all requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act and California law.

Since the Act was signed into law, Plumas County has made continual strides towards ensuring accessibility to all County programs and services.  In the past several years there have been a number of construction projects that have removed architectural barriers to our facilities. Some of these projects have gone as far as total replacement of the Courthouse Annex with a new Health and Human Services Center, as well as a new Animal Shelter and a new One Stop Permit Center.

The ADA coordinator’s office is taking the lead in assuring accessibility to polling places and other important public facilities.   To assist in our continuing effort to make all County programs and services as accessible as possible, the Disability Coordinator’s office welcomes your concerns and observations in relation to accessible facilities and programs.
