Any registered voter may "Vote By Mail". To apply for
Vote By Mail ballot you may use one of the following methods:
- Apply in writing to: Plumas County Clerk-Elections Office, 520 Main
Street, Quincy, CA 95971. You must include the name and date of
the election you are applying for (e.g. November 4, 2008 General
Election), your printed name, your residence address, the address you
would like the ballot mailed to, a telephone number where you can be
reached during normal business hours, and all applications must
contain your signature. The ballot cannot be issued without all of the
above information.
- Obtain a Vote By Mail application by either printing it off this web site or
check the back of your Plumas County Sample Ballot which is sent to
each registered voter approximately 29 days prior to the election.
- Apply in person at the Plumas County Clerk-Elections Office at 520
Main Street, Room 102, Quincy, Monday through Friday, between the
hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Bring your application from the
back of your Sample Ballot Information Guide for faster service.
If you know you are going to vote by mail, it is in your best interest
to apply as early as possible. We accept applications at any time,
however, by law 29 days prior to an election is the earliest a vote by
mail ballot can
be issued.
Once you have submitted your application for a vote by mail ballot, if you
do not receive it within 7 days, please contact the Plumas County
Clerk-Elections Office at (530) 283-6256 or (530) 283-6129.
