Membership

Membership in the Plumas County Mid-Management Advisory Group (MAG) is open to all members of the Mid-Management and Supervisory Unit as outlined in the current Memorandum of Understanding between Plumas County and Operating Engineers Union Local 3. Individuals not in this unit are welcome to participate in MAG as non-voting associate members.

Officers

The Mid-Management Advisory Group shall consist of officers elected by the membership with duties and responsibilities as follows:

1.  Chair: The Chair is responsible to conduct meetings, develop agendas, and be responsible to the membership. The Chair also represents MAG in various matters and issues within the county.
2.  Vice Chair: The Vice Chair will act in concert with the chair and represent MAG in the Chair’s absence. The Vice Chair will also coordinate and oversee special projects as may be necessary.
3.  Past Chair: The Past Chair will act as an advisor to the Chair and help maintain continuity within the organization.
4.  Secretary: The Secretary is responsible to maintain the membership roster, post meeting agendas, and ensure minutes are taken at regular meetings.

Election and Terms of Officers

The officers of MAG shall be elected by a simple majority of the votes cast by the members annually. The term of office for the Chair, Vice Chair, and Past Chair shall be a maximum of one year each. At the conclusion of that year, the Vice Chair will automatically be nominated to serve as Chair for the subsequent year and the Chair will be nominated to serve as Past Chair. Open nominations will also be held for the Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary.
